@silner – Hehehe yes he does pull some faces. I’ll sort a camera out soon too, I need to buy a USB web cam. We hope to stick to Mondays, originally Monday nights was the plan but now perhaps a little earlier in the day. We’ll be announcing stuff via the usual channels so don’t worry. About 2pm is the plan so far

I should be able to listen live most Mondays. So I hope you keep to that schedule. The live show has a different feel to the podcasts. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it’s better in a way. Maybe it’s the faces Fab makes at the camera when he’s not talking

@silner – Thank you You should still go to your LUG though as it’s not just about getting technical tips, it’s about meeting other like-minded souls and sharing something. Besides, you may well be able to help someone else who’s not as far along their Linux journey and that always feels satisfying

I really ought to start going to my local LUG, but I probably should have done it sooner. I’m at stage now where I’m quite comfortable with my setup. So I wouldn’t have much to talk about. Well that’s my excuse anyway.

@Fab – Thanks, that’s really kind, I just try to make them light hearted and funny. Sometimes it works better than others I wouldn’t mind writing for El Reg if they paid me
