@Ludovicus - Thanks for the tips. The water is warm (body temperature they say is best) and I only use a tiny amount of salt. I just don't find it pleasant I'm afraid. I'm carrying on for a while to see if there's a change though :)

Dan-

For the Neti, try using less salt and warm water (about the same as body temperature).

Too much salt or water that is too hot and it is not a pleasant experience.

Hope this helps!

@Dan - Thanks, I have a spare laptop I borrowed as a backup so things are ok. I might take this apart to see if I can sort it out. It needs a new battery and will also need a replacement HDD soon anyway I think. If it's too expensive to replace the parts I might just get a new one. I like the idea of fixing this up though and it's a cool laptop. I haven't bothered with those post-Neti exercises at all, I do clear my nose thoroughly after but don't do all the stretches. Seems like overkill and I'm too lazy :P

Oh man, sorry to hear about the laptop! I had two weeks of sinking fear that my computer was near death, but since upping my north bridge and RAM voltages one notch, I haven't had a single glitch.

I did have (what sounds like) a similar problem with a laptop I had a few years ago. After I made sure I had a backup PC, I popped off a few screws, and realized that the cable connecting the screen to the board had a broken plastic connector. A dab of superglue ended up fixing it in place. I can only imagine the couple of "loose" wires would cause a tiny spark, causing the machine to crash now and then. It only seemed to crash when I moved it or moved the display, which made me think to tear it up.

Either way, best of luck with it, and don't forget to do your "simple exercises" post-neti :-)

@Adrian - Thanks, really glad you enjoyed the show. I try to show people new stuff they might like, music I think is good. Jamendo is great, no matter what style you prefer you can probably find it there. Enjoy!
